Two MassDOT Employees Fired After Truck Gets Stuck On Drawbridge
Cell phone video captures the moment the pickup truck gets stuck on the moving Chelsea Street Bridge that connects East Boston to Chelsea.

BOSTON — Two contractors for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation have been fired after a truck got trapped on the Chelsea Street drawbridge as it moved up to make room for a passing boat last week.
MassDOT says they conducted an investigation and reviewed all information leading up to the incident, finding two of their operators did not follow protocol. Those two employees have now been fired.
The incident happened Friday on the bridge that connects East Boston and Chelsea and was caught on video, showing the truck still on the moving bridge as it made its way to the top.
