2 Arrested After Police Altercation At MGM Music Hall: Report

Police were calling the incident a "violent disturbance."

BOSTON, MA — Two people were arrested after what police described as a “violent incident” outside of MGM Music Hall on Lansdowne Street on Wednesday night, according to a report from NBC 10 Boston.

Edwin Rivera, 30, had to be removed from the hall by police and security at approximately 9:50 p.m. Upon reaching the street, Rivera reportedly threw a drink and attempted to punch an officer before eventually reaching for the officer’s firearm. Stephen Costa, 27, was the other person arrested after he reportedly attempted to physically interfere with police. He was tased after police say he failed to follow verbal commands.

One officer was transported to the hospital after sustaining injuries.
