Wilmington Man Indicted Over Threats to Boston Mosque

He was arrested, charged this July.

BOSTON, MA – A Wilmington man who allegedly posted online threats toward the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center's mosque was indicted Thursday.

Patrick Keogan, 44, was indicted on two counts of making a threat over Facebook to injure or intimidate another individual or to unlawfully damage or destroy a building by means of fire, and one count of being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition.

He was previously charged in a criminal complaint after his arrest this July.

Those charging documents cited Facebook posts in which Keogan allegedly referred to the "mosque-burning Olympics" and shared images of a mosque in flames with a caption stating "Burn your local mosque," among other posts.
