Woman Seriously Injured, Man Killed in Weekend Shooting

The shooting took place around midnight Saturday on Dudley Terrace.

BOSTON, MA — One man has died and a woman was seriously wounded after a shooting this weekend, according to the Boston Police Department.

Police report they responded at about 12:05 a.m. Saturday to Dudley Terrace in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood. They found one man dead at the scene, according to a BPD statement. A woman was also found with gunshot wounds, and was taken to the hospital, the statement said.

Names of the victims have not yet been released.

BPD Commissioner William Evans said police are seeking a black man in a blue hoodie who ran from Dudley Terrace and took a left on Dudley Street headed toward Columbia Road, according to The Boston Globe.

The female victim was critically injured, but is expected to survive, the commissioner told reporters.
