Air Conditioning Repairs To Close Braintree's Thayer Library

BRAINTREE, MA — Heating and air conditioning repairs will close the Thayer Public Library this week, officials announced.

Thayer Public Library will be temporarily closed on Tuesday and Wednesday for repairs to the HVAC system. All events and meetings scheduled during the closure have been canceled.

"Due to the extensive nature of the work, additional unexpected closures may occur," officials said, prompting locals to check the library website or call it's phone line — 781-848-0405 — this week before visiting.

Thayer Public Library’s parking lot will be closed off on Tuesday and the outdoor book drop will be inaccessible. All due dates and holds will be extended the week the library is closed, and items returned late will not incur fines, officials said.

Physical museum passes may not be picked up when the library is closed, but digital museum passes may still be reserved and received by email.
