Bike Shop Opening Soon in Braintree

Landry's Bicycles is expanding to five stores.

Landry’s Bicycles will open a new, two-story, 8,000-square-foot retail shop in Braintree this spring.

The 44 Granite St. location, in a building owned by the Flatley Company, will be the chain's fifth in Massachusetts, along with Boston, Natick, Norwood and Westboro, according to Bicycle Retailer.

Renovations are expected to be complete in April and include a bike-fitting studio and storage capacity for nearly 500 bikes, Landry's said in a press release on its website.

The new store will be managed by Patrick Flaherty, a longtime Landry’s employee who has worked with the company since 1996.

“We are really looking forward to bringing Landry’s high standards of customer service to the South Shore cycling community, and we are eager to help increase bicycling activity in the area,” president and co-owner Peter Henry said.

“There's a lot of growth potential for bicycling on the South Shore between Boston and Cape Cod,” store manager Flaherty said in the release.

“We're looking to help develop road, mountain, recreational, and commuter bicycling in the area, especially with the Quincy Adams MBTA Station (Red Line) only 2 miles away and the nearby Neponset River Bike Trail that connects to Boston Harbor.”
