Blasting At Braintree's New South Middle School Site Concludes Friday

BRAINTREE, MA - Due to the inclement weather over the past week, the blasting being conducted at the site for the new South Middle School was delayed.

The blasting, originally scheduled to conclude on March 29, will continue until the end of this week.

Blasting will occur below the existing soil surface with little or no surface movement or vibration anticipated. Blast mats will be placed on top of the existing ground surface to prevent soil displacement and warning horns will sound prior to each blasting sequence.
