Braintree Arrest Leads Cops To $200,000 In Heroin, Crystal Meth

Christopher Gannon was arrested after a joint investigation between Quincy Police, Braintree Police, and the South Shore Drug Task Force.

BRAINTREE, MA — A joint investigation between Braintree Police, Quincy Police, and the South Shore Drug Task Force resulted in the arrest of a Quincy man, police said.

Christopher Gannon, 30, was arrested Wednesday night on Holbrook Avenue in Braintree., according to the Quincy Police Department.

Police say Gannon was in possession of black tar heroin and crystal methamphetamine, which is not common for the area. The arrest allowed detectives to obtain a search warrant for Gannon's vehicle, where officers allegedly found 200 grams of crystal meth, 80 grams of black tar heroin, a loaded 9 mm Glock handgun with 10 rounds of ammunition, and some cash.

The combined street value of the drugs seized is about $200,000 according to police.
