Braintree Community Art Center Kicks Off Summer Programming
Activities range from art for kids and adults to yoga to cartooning for middle school students
BRAINTREE, MA - The Braintree Community Art Center on Monday announced the start of its summer season, which includes a range of programs for kids and adults.
Kids’ Art Night Out: A fun night of arts and crafts for those in grades K-5. Projects are planned and directed by students from the Braintree High School National Art Honor Society. Overall supervision is provided by Art Center director Heidi Hurley. Friday, June 10 from 6-8 p.m. $15 per child.
Beginner Yoga Series with Tanya: If you are taking your first class or have been practicing for years, this series welcomes all levels of yoga experience. Come with the openness to learn and explore. Hands-on assists will be offered and are optional. Bring your own mat, towel and water bottle. Yoga blocks will be supplied. Wednesdays from June 1-29 from 7:15-8:15 p.m. $95 for the five-week series or $20 per week.

Middle School Cartooning: Ever want to explore cartooning or expand on your already awesome talents? This is the class for you! Braintree High School National Art Honor Society students will be teaching a class for middle school students in grades 5-8 in cartooning. Just bring your sketchbook if you have one; supplies will be available. Tuesday, June 14 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. $10 per student.
Adult Acrylic Painting: Mondays starting May 23 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. $20 per person, $5 supply fee paid directly to instructor at class.

Discovering Art for Kids: Thursdays starting May 26 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. $20 per child, $5 supply fee paid directly to instructor at class
