News release from Braintree Local Cultural Council.

BRAINTREE, MA — The Braintree Local Cultural Council (LCC) has received $19,300 from the Mass Cultural Council (MCC) to help fund local arts and humanities projects in 2025. The LCC invites artists, musicians, performers, educators, community groups, non-profits, and others to apply for grants to support art shows, concerts, performances, workshops, lectures, short-term artist residencies in schools, and other community programs.

The Braintree LCC is among 329 local groups that receive annual allocations from the MCC, a state agency. The Braintree LCC’s priorities and guidelines are detailed on its home page on the MCC website. Applications must also be submitted through that page on the MCC site, rather than by mail or email. Deadline for submissions is Oct. 16, 2024, for 2025 programs. No late applications will be accepted, and previous grant recipients must apply again annually.
