Braintree Food Distributor a Finalist for Massachusetts Restaurant Award
On Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. at Lombardo's in Randolph, the Massachusetts Restaurant Association will host their annual Stars of the Industry Awards Gala.
Ronnie O'Donnell of Cara Donna Provision Co., a wholesale food distributor located on Commerce Drive in Braintree, is a finalist for the Massachusetts Restaurant Association "Exemplary Service Award" award.
The MRA is hosting a Stars of the Industry Awards Gala Oct. 28 at Lombardo's in Randolph in which the association will announce the 2013 winners in various categories, including Cook of the Year, Dishwasher of the Year and Waitperson of the Year.
O'Donnell's competition is Charlotte Holberry, Vision Advertising in Worcester, and Edward Mancuso, Ruby Wines in Avon.
Each winner will be awarded $250, a trophy, and a commemorative plaque to hang in his or her restaurant and all runners-up will be awarded $100.
“All candidates have shown outstanding dedication and passion for the industry, and this is our way of giving them the recognition they deserve," MRA President and CEO Bob Luz said in a press release.
