Braintree High Red Cross Club Holds Fundraiser at Five Guys

The community gathered at Five Guys Burgers and Fries on Thursday night to benefit the Braintree High School Red Cross Club.

A newly formed club at Braintree High School and one of the town's newest restaurants came together for a fundraiser on Thursday, March 14. Five Guys Burgers and Fries at 37 Forbes Ave. donated 10 percent of its proceeds to the BHS Red Cross Club from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursday.

The evening of burgers and fries was the first fundraiser for the group that has about 15 members. The club brainstormed a location to host an event and Five Guys won a vote.

The Red Cross Club has already donated 40 pounds of candy to American troops overseas. Club President Julia Eby said they are also planning CPR classes in the future.
