Braintree Officials Help In Weymouth Drug Distribution Case
One person faces three charges of drug distribution in Weymouth after an extensive investigation.
WEYMOUTH, MA — Braintree narcotics officers assisted in executing a recent Weymouth search warrant that landed drug distribution charges.
The Weymouth Police Narcotics Unit successfully executed a search warrant on Thursday, resulting in cash and drug seizures at 26 Lee St., in Weymouth.
At approximately 1:35 p.m., detectives from the Weymouth Narcotics Unit, assisted by the Braintree Narcotics and Norfolk County Narcotics K-9 Unit, conducted a targeted search warrant following an extensive investigation, officials said.

During the operation, detectives discovered crack cocaine, cocaine, amphetamine and gabapentin pills, along with a cell phone and about $2,500 in cash.
As a result of the search, Ashley Smith, 30, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, amphetamine pills and coacine, and possession of Gabapentin.
