Braintree Police Respond To Nearly 2K Service Calls In January

Most calls were medical or traffic-related, according to the data published by the Braintree Police Department.

BRAINTREE, MA — Ever wondered what a month looks like for a local police officer? New data released by the Braintree department gives a snapshot.

According to the department, officers responded to nearly 2,000 service calls in January.

Of those calls, roughly 1,000 were related to either health or mental health, or traffic related. The department also made 29 arrests in January.

The monthly snapshots are posted to the department's Facebook page, with officials stating they wanted to give residents a peek behind the curtain.

"These monthly snapshots are designed to help keep our residents informed about what is happening in the Braintree community," officials said.
