Braintree Post 86 Going To American Legion World Series
Post 86 has booked their ticket to the eight-team final.

BRAINTREE, MA — The baseball players of the Braintree American Legion Post 86 team have to pack their bags because they have to be in North Carolina in a few days.
Post 86 beat Shrewsbury 7-4 at Auburn High School School Sunday to win the northeast regional title and advance to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina, which starts Aug. 16. Braintree's opening day game is against Gonzales, Louisiana Post 81 at 1 p.m.

Braintree got past Shrewsbury with two runs in the fifth inning and an additional two in the sixth, according to the Boston Globe.
