Braintree Students Head Back To School: What To Know

School in Braintree starts back up Sept. 5.

BRAINTREE, MA — It's that time again. School is right around the corner and in all corners of Braintree, more than 5,800 students are getting their last days of vacation in and some are even starting to think about what to wear that first day back at school. When is that? It's Sept. 5 for most students. But there are other questions that pop up along with that big one.

So, as school gets ready to get into full swing here are some important facts:

  • Grades 1-12: Sept. 5
  • Kindergarten: Sept. 10
  • Preschool: Sept. 10

New Staff

Jennifer Fay Beers, the director of personnel and student services, said at a recent school committee meeting that the school district has reviewed has hired new staff for 40 positions.
