Braintree's Annual Kids' Day Postponed To August

The free event will feature games and a cookout at French's Common this week. Here's what to know for the annual event.

Update: Due to forecasted weather, this event has been postponed to Monday, Aug. 5.

BRAINTREE, MA — Mayor Erin V. Joyce and the Braintree Recreation Department will be hosting “Kids’ Day” at French’s Common next to Braintree Town Hall on [Monday, Aug. 5] from 10am until 2pm. This event is free to the public and includes games, bounce houses as well as a free cookout lunch and ice cream.

For the second year in a row “Kids’ Day” will begin with a sensory-friendly hour. While all games and activities will be up and running there will be no music or announcements made until 11am.

In recognition of their 10th anniversary of providing emergency medical service to Braintree, Brewster Ambulance will be serving as this year’s primary sponsor. Brewster personnel will be onsite with vehicles, equipment, and demonstrations for the community to view and learn more about the services Brewster offers to our community.

In the event of rain Kids’ Day will be held on Thursday, July 25th from 10am-2pm.
