Compass Medical To Close All Massachusetts Offices
The Quincy-based organization will close practices in Braintree, East Bridgewater, Easton, Middleborough, Quincy and Taunton.
BRAINTREE, MA — Compass Medical will close all six of its healthcare offices in Massachusetts.
The Quincy-based company released a statement on its website this week stating that it would be shuttering all offices due to a number of unspecified challenges.
"It is with our deepest regret and great sadness to inform you of our imminent plan to close our practices," the statement read.

"After a steady stream of challenges, we were ultimately forced to make the devastating decision to close all offices of Compass Medical PC effective immediately."
Compass locations were in the towns of Braintree, East Bridgewater, Easton, Middleborough, Quincy and Taunton.

It remains unclear what this means for patients. Compass officials said they would release information online regarding how to continue care, but patients have told news outlets they haven't heard anything from the company, with some even showing up for scheduled appointments.
Attorney General Andrea Campbell's office confirmed with NBC10 Boston that they are looking into the sudden closure.
"Our office is aware of reports that Compass Medical Group locations closed suddenly today. We are gathering information and in close communication with our partners in the Healey-Driscoll Administration, particularly the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Affected consumers and patients are encouraged to contact the AG’s office to share their concerns," a statement read.
