East Braintree Fire Station To Host Open House
Residents have the chance to see the newly renovated fire station

The East Braintree fire station is finally ready for visitors this weekend after nine months undergoing renovations.
The station at 1 Hayward St., will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday so residents can see the new look given to the 74-year-old building.
Renovations started in March. Prior to that, the fire house had not been upgraded since it was first built back in 1941.

The renovations cost slightly less than $1 million and included remodeling of the upstairs area, installation of a handicapped-accessible bathroom and improvements to the building’s exterior.
A trailer served as a temporary station while the work was being done.
