2. Thayer Public Library hosts its "Book Club for grades 2 & 3" from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the Logan Auditorium.
"For the grade 2 & 3 Book Club, the kids chose the second in the series about Stink Moody: 'Stink and the incredible super-galactic jawbreakerl by Megan McDonald for November. It is full of funny times from Stink's life. They liked the September selection so much, they decided to read another one about Stink."

5. Perhaps this cold but clear day will help with the expected low turnout in Braintree's election. The National Weather Service is forecasting a sunny day with a high near 48 degrees. Winds should be low speed and tonight should be partly cloudy around 38 degrees.
