BRAINTREE, MA — Voters in Braintree were relatively split on their support for president according to unofficial vote totals published by the town.

Numbers show that over 70 percent of registered voters cast a ballot in the elections, with a split of 10,449 for Vice President Kamala Harris and 9,174 for former President Donald Trump.

The Associated Press called the race for Trump, who defeated Harris in both typically Republican states but also in the so-called battleground states.

In Braintree, Trump won only one precinct, 1B, according to the unofficial results.

Locals also nearly split the race between Elizabeth Warren and John Deaton, with Warren narrowly taking the town at a mark of 9,897 to 9,888.
