July 4th Fireworks 2022 Near Braintree
Although Braintree will not have fireworks on the 4th, the town will continue its annual tradition of a parade and fireworks on Saturday
BRAINTREE, MA — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.
We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening around Braintree so you can start planning now.
Braintree's traditional parade celebrating the nation's independence will be held on Saturday, capped off by evening fireworks at 10 p.m. at the Braintree High School field at 128 Town St.

"We always have our parade and festivities on the Saturday before the 4th," explained Kate Naughton, the service coordinator for Mayor Charles Kokoros.
The Stars and Stripes Parade starts at 11:45 a.m. at the Registry of Motor Vehicles parking lot on Plain Street and ends at the Hollis School on Washington Street. Later in the day, the festivities continue at Braintree High School with a food truck festival, field games and live music at 4 p.m. A fireworks display will end the evening at 9:30 p.m.

Here's what's in store this July 4 around Braintree:
In nearby Canton, there will be an Independence Day celebration at the Irish Cultural Centre, located at 200 New Boston Dr. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Childrens activities include inflatables, face painting and airbrush tattoos. Food and beverages can be purchased at the center's pub.
A band called Concert Trax will begin performing at 7 p.m., leading up to the fireworks at 9 p.m.
If you plan on venturing to Boston, the Boston Pops will hold their traditional fireworks spectacular performance for the first time in three years.
The show at the Hatch Memorial Shell on the Charles River Esplanade will feature not only the Boston Pops under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart for the 27th year, but the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, the Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums, and special guest performers to be announced.
