Legal Sea Foods Plans Braintree Opening by Thanksgiving

Legal Sea Foods will open a new restaurant across from its current Braintree location at the South Shore Plaza in the next few weeks.

Representatives for the restaurant, which is opening at South Shore Place on Forbes Road, told the Board of License Commissioners Tuesday that the new location should be open approximately two weeks before Thanksgiving.

Matthew Del Papa, a longtime manager at Legal's Plaza location, was approved as the manager of record at the Forbes Road location Tuesday afternoon. Jeffrey M. Hoffman will be the manager of record at the Plaza location, at least as long as that restaurant remains open.

Both locations will be open simultaneously until the Plaza location's lease expires in February.

The new restaurant will hold 270 seats, with 50 of those planned for an outdoor dining area on the second floor of the South Shore Place retail complex.
