Logan Express Eyed For Development

What would you like to see built at the parking lot?

BRAINTREE, MA — The Braintree Logan Express could one day be a place where you can do more than park your car to take a bus to the airport.

The Massachusetts Port Authority plans on accepting proposal for developing the 20-acre site next to Interstate 93 starting in the fall. There is no word on what could be developed on the land, but Mayor Joseph Sullivan told the Boston Globe that he feels the property is underutilized.

Any development will have parking for the shuttle service and that could mean a garage with more than 2,000 spaces.

As for potential traffic for an area already known for jams and gridlock, Sullivan said direct access to I-93 could help.
