New York Man Arrested for Stealing from Department Stores
A New York man allegedly stole pocketbooks and other merchandise from two department stores at the South Shore Plaza.

Daniel A. Olivares-Cabral, 24 of New York City, was arrested in Braintree for allegedly stealing nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise from Macy's and Lord and Taylor.
Olivares-Cabral was arrested on Friday, August 2, after fleeing from the Lord and Taylor store in the South Shore Plaza with stolen mechandise, according to a release from Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins.
Police found Olivares-Cabral in the mall parking lot. A search of his mini van uncovered five pocketbooks stolen from Macy's with a value over $900. He also had a suitcase with almost $700 worth of wallets and pocketbooks, stolen from Lord and Taylor.
Olivares-Cabral was charged with larceny over $250 from Lord and Taylor, receiving stolen property over $250 from Macy’s and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
