BRAINTREE, MA — Sheriff Patrick McDermott and the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office will host a free Veterans Appreciation Cookout in Braintree on Sunday at the office's Public Safety Complex. The event, organized by the Norfolk County Sheriff's Community Engagement team, is part of an ongoing effort to support veterans in Norfolk County through partnerships with local Veterans' Service Officers, officials said. "This is a great way to honor our local veterans and their families," said McDermott. "We are welcoming everyone to this cookout as we celebrate all of the things that veterans have given to this country." The Norfolk County Sheriff's Public Safety Complex is located at 2015 Washington St., Braintree.
