There were 24 health inspections in Braintree in November, ranging from restaurants to social service centers to the Craft Beer Cellar.

During the month of November, the Braintree Department of Municipal Licenses and Inspections conducted 24 inspections of establishments in town that serve food.

Overall, the establishments did very well. There was one critical violation noted and four non-critical violations.

Marybeth McGrath, director of Department of Municipal Licenses and Inspections, said inspectors are encourages to denote positives at their inspections as well, such as correct fridge and sanitizer temperatures.

The non-critical violations in November, representing four restaurants, covered relatively minor infractions, such as a fry-o-later in need of cleaning, salads in need of covering and food preparers in need of hair restraints.

An inspection at AMC Braintree on Nov. 26 turned up an open can of WD40 next to the condiments, a critical violation. It was rectified during the inspection.
