Police Investigate Pizzeria, Residential Break-ins

Angelina's Pizzeria and a Ellsmore Terrace home were broken into last week.

The Braintree Police Department is investigating a commercial break-in and a house break-in that were reported on Wednesday, August 7.

Police responded to Angelina's Pizzeria on Elm Street just after 4 a.m. on Wednesday to investigate a burglar alarm.

According to Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins, "Responding officers discovered the front door smashed with a brick and entry gained by slipping under the shattered, but still intact glass.  A cash box from a cash register containing a sum of money was taken."

That evening, an Ellsmore Terrace returned from vacation to find a laptop and jewelry missing. Jenkins said entry was gained through a window under the back deck that leads to a crawl space.
