Teenager Dies From Injuries In Dec. 1 Braintree Crash
A Holbrook man faces drunk driving charges following the crash, which also injured two others.
BRAINTREE, MA — An 18-year-old passenger involved in the Dec. 1 head-on crash in Braintree has died, the Norfolk District Attorney's Office announced.
Alexia Nixon, of Weymouth, died at Boston Medical Center Tuesday night, officials said.
She was a passenger in a SUV struck by an alleged drunken driver around 12:50 a.m. on Dec. 1 near 655 Union St. The 18-year-old driver of the SUV and another passenger in his vehicle were hospitalized with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

“The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office and Braintree Police Department extend our heartfelt condolences to Alexia’s family,” Morrissey and Braintree Police Chief Timothy Cohoon said.
The driver of the pickup, Ryan Gorman, 39, of Holbrook, who was also taken to a hospital, pleaded not guilty in his hospital bed the following day to three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol causing serious bodily injury, one count of driving negligently so as to endanger and one count of failing to drive within marked lanes. He was released on $5,000 cash bail.

His next court date is Jan. 2 in Quincy District Court, officials said.
The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police, the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office and Braintree Police.
