BRAINTREE, MA — Air conditioning repairs at Thayer Library will take additional days to complete, closing the library through this week. Officials said the library will remain closed until Monday, when it will reopen for normal summer hours, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All events and meetings scheduled during the closure have been canceled. "Due to the extensive nature of the work, additional unexpected closures may occur," officials said earlier this week. Officials said all due dates and holds will be extended the week the library is closed, and items returned late will not incur fines, officials said. Physical museum passes may not be picked up when the library is closed, but digital museum passes may still be reserved and received by email.
