9 Brookline Businesses, Including NETA, Win Best Of Boston 2019
Brookline Booksmith and a popular Brookline playground a Jewish Deli in Coolidge Corner were among those businesses that got some props.

BROOKLINE, MA — This town has a lot of great things about it, including best Jewish Deli, best restaurant beer program, and of course the best bookstore. You may have already known this, but this year's annual ranking, put out by Boston Magazine, recognized these spots formally.
This year the magazine's “Best of Boston 2019” awards named 314 winners in arts & culture, dining, shopping and more across Boston, the Cape and the suburbs. Nine winners hailed from Brookline this year.
After getting five awards last year, Brookline Village got one mention: Best Pot Shop. That's right, NETA, the medical marijuana dispensary that recently added recreational pot sales got recognized. "Shopping at NETA’s Brookline outpost is as far from buying pot off your cousin’s dog walker in a 7-Eleven parking lot as you can get," according to the review, which points out the high end selection and classy mini lounge.

And in the category of they're from Brookline, Irene Li's who grew up in Brookline and now runs MeiMei on the Brookline, Boston border won Best Snacks, Fast Casual.
For the past 12 months, Boston magazine's team of judges ate, drank, and shopped their way across Boston, and Cambridge to the 'burbs (that's us here in Brookline, technically) and the Cape and the Islands to find the best the area has to offer. The July issue of the magazine names its winners and they include three Brookline-based restaurants, a playground, a special bookstore, a pot shop, a shoe store, a spot to get a mani/pedi and a moving company.
