$95 Of Shrimp, Dumpster Fire At Ex's: Brookline Police Arrests
One man is accused of stealing nearly $100 worth of frozen shrimp. Another man was picked up on a warrant, but questioned about a fire.

BROOKLINE, MA — Every week Brookline police are out in the community responding to everything from reports of drunken driving to possession of cocaine. Here is a sample of the types of arrests Brookline police have made recently. All of the following information is from police reports.
Driving on a suspended license and possession of cocaine: Police arrested Danielle Buccacio, 29, of Newton, after someone reported they heard threats coming from people in a car parked in his driveway without permission. The resident gave the license plate number to police who found the car on Boylston Street. The occupants told police they were waiting for someone at NETA and were looking for a place to park. When the driver gave her license to police, officers noted it was suspended and went to arrest her. They reported finding cocaine in her purse. The occupants said they did park in someone's driveway but denied threatening anyone.
"He did not wish to continue talking about the fire near his ex-wife's residence": Police arrested Andrew Rand, 37, of Brookline on Aug. 6 just after 1 a.m. Police said they went to question him after a fire broke out in the dumpster near the home of his ex-wife. When they went to his home, they found Rand in his bedroom. The arrested him on a warrant out of Brookline on breaking and entering charges in July. When police escorted him from his bed, they noted his hands were dirty and his right hand was bandaged. After he was arrested on the warrant police asked him about the fire down the street. "He did not wish to continue talking about the fire near his ex-wife's residence."

"She claimed she did not have anything with her name on it." Police arrested Danielle Labastile, 35, of Hyde Park on Aug.7 just after 2:30 a.m. Police said they pulled her over on Dean Road after they said they saw the car she was driving go through a red light and then swerving. When police questioned her, she provided the name of her cousin and then told them she didn't have anything with her name on it, according to the report. Police charged Labastile with driving on a suspended license, providing a false name to an officer, failing to yield at a red light, and marked lane violation.
Driving Under The Influence: Brookline police arrested Joel Firehammer, 51, of Brookline around 5 p.m. Aug. 8.and charged him with operating a car under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

"Four bags of 2-pound frozen shrimp, valuing $23.98 a bag, totaling $95.92." Police arrested Marc Jacob, 32, of Randolph on July 31 and charged him with shoplifting. Police were called to the Stop & Shop for a report of shoplifting. When they got there, employees told police they saw a man take four 2-pound bags of frozen shrimp and then try to walk out of the store with it hidden in a different store's grocery bag. When they confronted the man about the Stop & Shop brand shrimp in that bag, he pushed past them and left the store. Police tracked him down and arrested him.
