Age to Purchase Cigarettes Raised in Town
Eighteen-year-olds can't buy cigarettes in Brookline anymore.

If you were looking forward to buying cigarettes in Brookline on your 18th birthday, you’re going to have to wait it out for more year.
A new law took affect last Saturday and pushed the legal age to purchase tobacco products in town up to 19.
According to The Boston Globe, the Peer Leadership Group from Brookline High School introduced this measure in 2012.
