Alleged Theo Epstein Stalker Arrested in Chicago

A Massachusetts woman accused of stalking Theo Epstein arrested in Chicago. Brookline police confirm they were asked to watch Epstein's Brookline home, but did not say why.

Kathleen Kearney, 44 of Canton, was arrested Monday night near Theo Epstein’s home in Chicago and charged with stalking, according to CBS Boston

Kearney told police she was "inviting Mr. Epstein to go to church," the Chicago Tribune reports. Kearney had been previously warned not to stalk Epstein.

 responded a number of media requests about the Massachusetts woman during Epstein's time in Brookline. They report that she was never arrested by them, nor does she appear in any reports. 

The police did confirm that Epstein hired detail officers to watch his home 18 times between April and May of 2010, mostly during Red Sox games. Officers watched the home from outside, in personal vehicles.

Police did not confirm they were watching for a stalker, nor did they comment on why they were hired. 

Epstein is currently President of Baseball Operations for the Chicago Cubs. Epstein's brother .
