- 30-year business career leading large organizations, managing budgets and collaborating with peers to set long-term strategy and solve complex problems
- Having lived in Section-8 housing, I understand the needs of low-income and under resourced neighbors
- 4-year Town Meeting Member and 2 years service on the Advisory Committee
- Extensive experience applying Brookline’s legislative and executive processes to positively impact daily life in Brookline
Why are you running for Select Board this year?
- Add effective and collaborative, executive leadership to the Select Board
- What's one thing you'd like to achieve in 2023 if elected to the Select Board?
- Passing Brookline-appropriate legislation at Town Meeting that will keep us in compliance with the MBTA Communities Act
What's one thing lacking in Brookline that you would like to see change?
We do not invest enough in our aging population. We must get much more intentional in supporting the needs of our growing, aging population.
What's something the district does well, and how would you support that as a member of the Select Board?
We are good at talking about creating affordable housing. I support changing our inclusionary zoning regulations to dramatically increase the number of income-restricted, affordable housing units in Brookline.
What's your top priority?
Re-establish Brookline as a leading employer that attracts and retains a diverse group of individuals to work in our public safety, municipal services and schools.
