Public Health officials advise people to stay at home as much as possible, keep at least 6 feet from anyone who does not live in your household, and to wash your hands frequently to help limit the spread of the virus which causes COVID-19.

The donation of protective masks comes at a time when the commonwealth has been working to secure ways to get more protective gear to first responders, medical professionals and others on the front line.

"This is a very generous and important gesture by three members of our business community," Chief Andrew Lipson said of the donation. "Our officers heavily rely on equipment like this to ensure they’re doing their jobs as safely as possible during a very difficult time."
