BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline Police Department is investigating the case of a stolen FedEx package taken from the front foyer of a home earlier this week, according to a report from WCVB Newscenter 5.

Home surveillance footage captured the package being pilfered less than an hour after being delivered. According to the homeowner, the package contained an iPhone valued at more than $1,200. The person opened the front door of the residence to take the delivery.

Brookline police said the best thing people can do to help avoid porch pirates is to track their package, get a signature request and if possible, have someone at home to pick the package up as soon as possible.
