Brookline Restaurant Serves 60-Person Thanksgiving Meal — For Free

That many people means many, many pies.

BROOKLINE, MA — A generous holiday offer led to free meals for 60 families invited to Chestnut Hill's VineRipe Grill this Thanksgiving.

The restaurant's owner was offering a Thanksgiving Day meal at her restaurant free of charge to low-income families and seniors.

The town's health department shared via email that 60 families were invited on Thanksgiving Day.

"Other members of the Wisel family helped out, serving a turkey dinner with all the trimmings," Director of Community Health Lynne Karsten told Patch. "And for dessert, of course, lots of pies."
