BROOKLINE, MA – Celia Segel, a candidate for state representative serving West Roxbury, Roslindale, Jamaica Plain, and Brookline, has been endorsed by former congressman Barney Frank.

Frank represented Brookline as a member of the 4th congressional district for more than 30 years until he retired in 2013, and served as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.

“Celia Segel has already demonstrated leadership in her advocacy to control the costs of health care and prescription drugs,” Frank said in a news release. “She brings incredibly valuable policy expertise and knows how to build coalitions to pass legislation that will serve the 10th Suffolk and all of Massachusetts. Celia has my enthusiastic support.”
