Today is Tuesday, May 21. Here are 5 things you need to know:
- Showers, cooler: Looks like a gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect cloudy skies and a chance of showers after 10 a.m. High temperature near 65 degrees. A chance of showers before 11 p.m. Otherwise cloudy with a low near 54 degrees.
- Public meeting: The Board of Appeals is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall.
- New career help: The Burlington Public Library is hosting a Career Transition program from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today. This is a networking and workshop dedicated to providing a 'roadmap to re-employment' for transitioning professionals. It is free and all are welcome.
- TAG: The Teen Advisory Group is meeting at the Burlington Public Library at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon. The group is open to students in grades 6 to 12. Join the library for discussions on books, movies and teen events and enjoy some pizza.
- Blood drive: The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive from 1:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Burlington American Legion, 162 Winn St. Do your part and donate today and give the gift of life.
