Today is Monday, April 1. Here are 5 things you need to know:
- Chance of showers and T-storms: Looks like it could be a wet day today, but not necessarily so. According to the National Weather Service we have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Otherwise cloudy with a high near 58 degrees. Chance of showers tonight with otherwise cloudy skies and a low around 26 degrees.
- Friends of the Library: The Burlington Public Library is hosting a meeting of the Friends of the Library at 6:30 p.m. this evening. This is the regular monthly meeting of the Board of the Friends of the Burlington Public Library. Friends members and interested persons from the community at large are always welcome to attend.
- Meet your Congressman: Rep. John Tierney will be holding office hours at 10 a.m. this morning at the Burlington Council on aging in the Human Services Building. The community office hours will offer local residents an opportunity to access resources and assistance with federal agencies, such as issues with Social Security, Medicare, veterans’ benefits, and more.
- After-school Yoga: Roots Yoga offers after school Yoga classes for children at 3:45 p.m. "Our classes will teach our young children the ways to disconnect from it all and bring their attention inward, find their breathe, have fun with yoga postures and poses while allowing them to de-stress, and relax and rinse from all of their daily routines."
