Today is Wednesday, June 5. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Sunny skies: Looks like another nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 74 degrees. Mostly cloudy tonight with a low around 50 degrees. 
  • Public meetings: The Planning Board/Selectmen Liaison Committee is meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall. The Land Use Committee is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the basement meeting room in the Town Hall Annex.
  • Soft Side of Retirement: The Burlington Public Library is hosting a discussion on retirement planning from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The program will focus on the non-financial aspects of retirement preparation and relevant issues for anyone newly retired or considering retirement.
  • Ballet exercise: Miss Louise's School of Dance is holding a Barre Ballet, an exercise form of ballet, class at 6 p.m. this evening. Drop-ins welcome. Cost is $15.
  • Weight Watchers: There will be a Weight Watchers meeting at 5:30 p.m. this evening in the Burlington American Legion. "Come and find help and support on your weight loss journey from your local team at Weight Watchers."
