5T: Game Show Fundraiser to Benefit Adopt a Class Program

Five Things You Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance. 

Today is Friday, June 7. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Rain: Thanks to Tropical Storm Andrea we can expect rain today and tonight. According to the National Weather Service we can expect rain and fog this morning and then rain in the afternoon. High near 60 degrees. More rain tonight that could be heavy at times. Low around 54 degrees.
  • Quilting: The Burlington Public Library is hosting the Quilt Club today from 10 a.m. to noon. The group is open to anyone and is for people who love quilting and want to share ideas with friends.
  • Game Show Mania: There will be a fundraiser for the Adopt a Class of 2019 (current 6th graders) at the American Legion at 7 p.m. tonight. There will be a game show setup with podiums and buzzers, an announcer and an assistant where we play a game similar to “Jeopardy”. You can sign up for a team ahead of time (teams of 4) or let me help you get on a team. There will be other entertainment. Click here for more information.  
  • Vodka tasting: Busa Wine & Spirits is holding a tasting of Tito’s Handmade Vodka from 4 to 7 p.m. Click here for more information.
  • Greek festival: Woburn's weekend-long Greek Festival is kicking off today at 11 a.m. Wide variety of entertainment and great food.
