Today is Monday, May 13. Here are 5 things you need to know:
- Sunny but not as warm: Looks like a nice day today but not quite as warm as it has been. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 61 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 35.
- Town meeting: Burlington's annual May Town Meeting starts tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Burlington High School auditorium. Click here to see the full warrant.
- Public meetings: The Board of Selectmen is having a pre-Town Meeting meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room at Town Hall. The Recreation Commission is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the BHS Science Room - Room 159. The School Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at Burlington High.
- Story & Crafts: The Burlington Public Library is holding two story & craft events where they tell a story and have children make a craft about the story today. The first is for children 18-36 months at 10:30 a.m. The second is for children 3 to 6 years old at 11:15 a.m.
- Salon service fundraiser:Supercuts is joining 200 salons and spas in the Boston/Greater New England area to raise money for hairstylist Celeste Corcoran and her daughter, Sydney, two survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings. During the one-day event today, Supercuts is donating a percentage of proceeds from all salon services to help cover Celeste's and Sydney's medical needs. Click here for more information.
