Today is Thursday, April 11. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Mostly cloudy, cooler: Looks like a gray and not as warm day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a chance of showers before 11 a.m. and otherwise cloudy skies with a high near 48 degrees. Chance of showers tonight and otherwise cloudy with a low around 33. 
  • Public meeting: The Library Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. in the Burlington Public Library. The Conservation Commission is meeting in the main hearing room at Town Hall.
  • Japanese anime club: The Burlington Public Library is hosting a Teen Animanga Club meeting at 3:45 p.m. The group will be viewing Japanese anime (animation) and discussing manga (Japanese comics). There will also be crafts, drawing, snacks - plus giveaways and contests.
  • Bridge: The Burlington Public Library is hosting two bridge playing events today. The first is COA Bridge Players, a group aimed at seniors, which will meet at 1 p.m. The second is the Thursday Night Bridge group, which meets at 6:30 p.m. Both sessions are open to the public, so come down, play some bridge and meet new people.
