Today is Monday, May 6. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Sunny skies: Looks like another nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 68 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 46. 
  • Public meetings: The Planning Board Subcommittee on the FY14 budget is meeting at 12 p.m. in the Planning Department in the Town Hall Annex. There is also a meeting for new Town Meeting members at 6 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall.
  • Lego Club: The Burlington Public Library is hosting a Lego Club for children in grades K to 6 at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon. They supply the Legos, you bring your imagination.
  • Preserve the park: The Friends of Mary Cumming Park are meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in the Folgelberg A meeting room at the Burlington Public Library. The purpose of this meeting is to To discuss and plan strategies to ensure that Mary Cummings Park in Burlington and Woburn remains open to the public for recreation and conservation.
  • Dance lessons: Kadanse Latin & Ballroom Dance Instruction is offering beginner Ballroom dancing lessons at 6:45 p.m. this evening for $10. Click here for more details.
