5T: Quilting Club Meeting, Baby Storytime and Sunny Skies

Five things to know today.

Five Things You Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.

Today is Friday, May 3. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Sunny: Looks like a nice clear day if not quite as warm as the past couple of days. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 60 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 42.
  • Quilting: The Burlington Public Library is hosting the Quilt Club today from 10 a.m. to noon. The group is open to anyone and is for people who love quilting and want to share ideas with friends.
  • Little bakers: Panera Bread has started a new baking lessons program for children aged 5 to 12. The Panera Bread's Bakers in Training (B.I.T.) program will teach your "Baker in Training" the essentials of kitchen safety, proper food handling and food preparation. Plus, all B.I.T. Kids will be outfitted with their own baking hat and learn to bake their own loaf of bread and decorate a cookie. Cost is $15. Click here for more details.
  • Storytime: The Library is holding Baby Storytime at 11 a.m. this morning for children from birth to 18 months. Delight and stimulate your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys and puppets.
