Today is Tuesday, May 28. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Sunny skies: Looks like a nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 75 degrees. A chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight with a low around 54 degrees. 
  • Public meetings: The Board of Health is meeting at 7 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall. The School Committee is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room at Burlington High School. 
  • Relay for Life: There will be a meeting for the Burlington Relay for Life at 5:45 p.m. this evening in the Burlington Public Library. This meeting will distribute materials, collect donations, forms and other paperwork, and address any concerns attendees may have regarding this community fundraising event.
  • Lend a hand: The community group "Help Me Help Someone" (HELPIS) is meeting at 6:30 p.m. this evening in the Burlington Public Library. According to the group "This organization will bring people in our community together to reach out and help those in need. Through simple act of kindness and generosity we will heal, uplift, inspire, and improve the lives of others."
  • Yoga:  Bikram Yoga Burlington holds beginner's Yoga classes at 9:30 a.m. each morning. The program consists of 26 different poses and two breathing poses. Click here for more information and pricing.
