Today is Tuesday, April 30. Here are 5 things you need to know:
- Mostly sunny, warm: Looks like a nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 70 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 38 degrees.
- State primary: The Special State Primary for the United States Senate seat vacated by now Secretary of State John Kerry is today. Vote from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Burlington High School.
- Zentagle: The Burlington Public Library is holding a Zentangle class at 4 p.m. for children in grades 5 to 12. Zentangle is a art form based on creating repeating patterns and can be done by anyone. It can be as easy or complex as you like.
- Lend a hand: The community group "Help Me Help Someone" (HELPIS) is meeting at 6:30 p.m. this evening in the Burlington Public Library. According to the group "This organization will bring people in our community together to reach out and help those in need. Through simple act of kindness and generosity we will heal, uplift, inspire, and improve the lives of others."
- Storytimes: The Burlington Public Library is offering a three story times today. The first is Toddler Storytime for children 18 to 36 months at 10:30 a.m. followed by Preschool Storytime for children 3 to 6 at 11 a.m. In the evening the library is hosting Pajama Storytime for children 3 to 7 at 7 p.m.
