Today is Friday, May 24. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Showers and chance of t-storms: Looks like a gray and likely wet day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a 90 percent chance of showers. There is also a chance of thunderstorms. High near 66 degrees. Chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight with a low around 47.
  • Summer drink tasting: Busa Wine & Spirits is holding a tasting of House of Shandy’s traveler line drinks. This includes the "Curious Traveler" an all malt wheat ale infused with a puree of real lemons and limes. Click here for more information.
  • Little bakers: Panera Bread has started a new baking lessons program for children aged 5 to 12. The Panera Bread's Bakers in Training (B.I.T.) program will teach your "Baker in Training" the essentials of kitchen safety, proper food handling and food preparation. Plus, all B.I.T. Kids will be outfitted with their own baking hat and learn to bake their own loaf of bread and decorate a cookie. Cost is $15. Click here for more details.
  • Storytime: The Library is holding Baby Storytime at 11 a.m. this morning for children from birth to 18 months. Delight and stimulate your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys and puppets.
